I found a hidden chip inside the battery of my note 4 just underneath the samsung sticker of the battery. My friend told me that this chip is used to track and hack our personal data and things. Is that correct? Does anyone know anything about this?

It's most likely the NFC chip. The battery clearly labels it below Samsung logo as "near field communication". As for stealing data they don't need hidden chip for that. Your phone has all the data and an Internet connection. Don't worry too much abt it

If you are worried about being hack then just disable the NFC function on your Note 4, it's a very simple process.

But the same chip is no samsung galaxy s2 and s4 but these devices are not having any NFC SO why there is the chip in the battery

That's NFC chip. Other manufacturers/model usually put it inside the back cover.
Don't worry with it

Yeah, that is true. I had a SGSII and I can honestly confirm that it didn't have NFC capabilities. However some of the later LTE models did have NFC capabilities with the antenna built into the battery like the Note 4.

Don't have a data connection. Coz they don't need a chip to steal your data. They can hack it anytime. Moreover these are patented & US Govt approved, so I believe they should be safe to use

So if you change the battery
So that means if you change your battery (which was the centre of Samsung advertisement for long time) you'll lose NFC function! WTF!

What I m not understanding is if Samsung want to track us & wants to fix chip, they can put chip in mother board & may we will never come to know, why in easily replaceable battery.

what samsung wants is for you to purchase an original battery, if they put the NFC chip inside the motherboard, you could purchase any cheap battery and would still have the NFC chip, but if they put it in the battery, you would need to purchase an original battery to keep that NFC function at US$30 instead of US$5, i use NFC so i would prefer it inside the phone and not battery tho.
